2000年代を代表するメゾンのシグネチャープリントにインスピレーションを得た、「ニュースペーパー」モチーフをあしらった2024年フォールコレクションのカシミアニットセーターです。ジョン・ガリアーノ氏が手掛けた2000年秋冬シーズンのアーカイブを、マリア・グラツィア・キウリによって再解釈した一着です。このグラフィックは架空の英字新聞ではなく、戦後のディオールがアメリカ、特にニューヨークへ進出していった歴史を題材にした史料を新聞形式で再構成したデザインです。Galliano期の有名なニュースペーパープリントの“視覚言語”を継承しながら、中身はDiorとアメリカの歴史を新しく組み直したもの。グラフィックはモーリーン・フッターが担当しています。

This is a 2024 Fall collection cashmere knit sweater featuring the "Newspaper" motif, inspired by the maison's signature print of the 2000s. It is a piece that reinterprets the archives of the Autumn/Winter 2000 season handled by John Galliano through Maria Grazia Chiuri. This graphic is not a fictional English newspaper, but a design that reconstructs historical materials themed on Dior's post-war expansion into America, especially New York, in a newspaper format. While inheriting the "visual language" of the famous newspaper print from the Galliano period, the content is a new restructuring of Dior and the history of America. The graphics are handled by Maureen Footer.
