こちらは、デザイナーのラフ・シモンズによる2014年秋冬のスターリング・ルビーとの共同コレクションのコートです。ベースにはクラシカルなトレンチコートが採用されています。ボディの至る所に施された素材違い・色違いのテープデザインは、スターリング・ルビーのシグネチャーであるファブリックコラージュやブリーチコラージュのアート表現を落とし込んだものです。洗練されたミニマルなコートのラインに対して、意図的に視覚的な混沌やノイズを持ち込む目的で配置されています。裾付近に見られる「FATHERS」のグラフィックは、ラフ・シモンズが自身のこれまでの人生を振り返り、父親への想いや敬意を象徴的なワードとして表現したものです。各所に配置されたモノクロのパッチグラフィックは考古学の掘削現場を撮影した写真であり、過去の記憶や歴史を掘り起こすというコレクションのテーマにリンクしています。A$AP RockyやVirgil Ablohをはじめとする多くのファッションアイコンが着用したことでも広く知られている、ラフの名作アーカイブの一点です。

This is a coat from the Autumn/Winter 2014 collaborative collection by designer Raf Simons and artist Sterling Ruby. A classic trench coat is adopted as the base. The varying fabric and multi-colored tape details applied across the body incorporate Sterling Ruby's signature fabric and bleach collage artistic style. They are positioned with the intention of introducing visual chaos and noise to the coat's refined, minimalist lines. The "FATHERS" graphic near the hem represents Raf Simons reflecting on his life, expressing his deep sentiment and respect for his father.
