このジャケットは、デザイナー宮下貴裕氏がNUMBER (N)INEを去る直前の2008年に発表されたコレクションの傑作を、ブランドが再始動した後の2011年に正式に復刻したピースです。2008年当時のナンバーナインは、ブランドのルーツであるグランジやロックのテイストを保ちつつも、より洗練されたテーラリングと素材使いへと進化を遂げた最終章であり、このジャケットはその洗練されたストリート感を見事に体現しています。デザインは、フライトジャケットやスポーツブルゾンのような機能的なディテールを採用しながらも、身幅をタイトに、袖丈を長めに設定するというブランド特有の「アンバランスな美学」を継承しています。このタイト＆ロングなシルエットは、着用者にシャープな印象を与え、アメカジ由来のアイテムをモードへと昇華させる宮下氏の独自のカッティング技術の賜物です。
